Katie Jackson
Katie grew up in Nashville, Tennessee. While she loves the southern charm (not so much the charming casseroles), she always dreamed of being a Colorado girl. She finished her undergraduate degree and moved to Asheville, North Carolina, to volunteer for a year with AmeriCorps. Afterwards, she attended Appalachian State University earning her Master's degree in Public Administration. She spent the past 10 years working in non-profit administration supporting public housing operations, children's hospital development, and in an advocacy and grantmaking organization supporting women's health. We're so glad she relocated to Fort Collins and brought her can-do attitude to her role in project management!
A running problem?
Katie is an outdoor enthusiast -- she isn't terrible at mountain biking, skiing, SUP'ing, and climbing, but her true love is trail running. She once had the opportunity to represent her previous running club at a marathon in Italy. She has also finished 50ks, a 3-day stage race, Pikes Peak marathon, and has her eyes set on several more challenges here in Colorado. Her ultimate goal is to run one of UTMB events at Mont Blanc in France.
It's okay to be a bumbling beginner.
Katie loves to learn new things. She spent a week learning to surf in Costa Rica, and she's also enrolled in courses to pick up a new language, cooking classes, software coding, and too many more to count.
